Today's session is about increasing muscle mass or "toning up" for the upper body. You have 2 Giant Sets (4 Exercises in a row, minimal rest) to perform: one for Upper Body Pushing, the other for Upper Body Pulling.
Modify any exercises to meet your ability level or environment. The goal is you want to be able to fully exhaust your upper body after the end of 3 sets, so use a weight that creates fatigue after each exercise.
RG #1 4Q Giant Set: Push/Pull
Warm-Up Blocks
AHHPS 4Q Shoulder Mobility
Horizontal Loading
- Influencing 'Fluid Dynamics' (blood, water, lymph) to improve tissue and joint function, helping remove waste that has been stagnant in various areas.
2- Stimulating 'Small Motor Unit Recruitment' (SMUR) that are close to joints and act to help stabilize a joint during movement. i.e. having the joint be at the right place, at the right time.
3- 'Excitation' focus is on practice turning muscles "On" and 'Off" quickly.
4- 'Stimulation' drills for eyes, ears (vestibular), and tactile proprioception to improve sensory inputs.
