Warm-Up for high school wrestlers preparing for sparring activity. Major focus on the hips but also attention on full body movements to get everything engaged. Movement positions include being on the ground, standing, or working from ground to standing. Additionally, postural positions and hip openers included to help reverse stress from sitting throughout day. These movements mentally and physically prep athlete for stances and some movements that would be done on the mat, and can help athlete with quicker connection for drills to follow.

Equipment such as medicine balls, dumbbells, or sandbags could also be utilized. Bring load toward rear foot and drive through hips to swing it above opposite shoulder.

AJ Horizontal Zig Zag Tracking in Loaded Split Stance
Load Hips in Split Stance. Use eyes to track a point on your thumb making a "wide V" in one direction then going the other.
