This block utilizes incline treadmill walking to alternate 2-minute moderate intervals (RPE 6–7) with 4-minute low intensity recovery (RPE 3–4) using a 1:2 Work:Rest ratio.
Maintain conversational breathing during moderate intervals. Recovery intervals should intentionally lower heart rate before the next effort. Avoid threshold crossover.
Alternative modalities may include bike, rower, or elliptical while maintaining the same intensity and ratio parameters.
