the goal of this exercise is to strengthen the hip, knee, and calf in a closed chain position. to perform this exercise pick a platform to stand on that is an appropriate height. stand on one side of the box allowing one foot to hang off the side of the box. bend at the knee and hip with the leg that is on the box attempting to reach the floor while maintaining a neutral hip. attempt to keep all of the body weight on the leg that is on the box.
